One of Richardson & Peat's slightly more unconventional projects was the construction of a 140m² space on top of an old existing dining room in a completely land locked site with no access and no space. The work was completed during the schools Summer holidays period. It challenged the company into finding ways to undertake the works in a short space of time while causing minimal disruption to the general public. Offsite construction and a road closure for one day provided the opportunity to erect the building and by pre-planning all trades the work was successfully finished in time for the new Autumn term.
